The Meals on Wheels program is bursting at the seams with home-bound seniors in need of a hot lunch delivered to their home. Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver hot meals to participants in Sturgeon Bay. Deliver meals once a month, once a week, or even more. Do you have an interest in publicity and getting the word out? If so, the Northern Door Health & Wellness Ministry could use you on their committee as they work to increase awareness of their group. The American Red Cross is looking for volunteers to help with registration and donor aides for the upcoming Sturgeon Bay Community Blood Drives. Shifts are 3 hours in length and are available for dates in August, October and January. Contact Emily at (920) 366-0896 or Emily.Wade@redcross.org.
Pick n' Save will be hosting brat frys to raise money for HELP of Door County weekends this summer. Duties include frying brats, handling money, and setting up signs. Bring a T.V. or a radio and grill all day. All supplies are provided. The only requirements are that you are trustworthy, responsible, and have knowledge of how to grill. The work done at the Historical Village at Crossroads is impossible without dedicated volunteers. Volunteers are needed as guides and interpreters, to clean artifacts and the Village itself, and to prepare and serve food items. If you enjoy history, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
