Thirteen students have been waiting for this day since they signed up. On June 22, students from Algoma High School will be on their way to Spain. In Spain they will be seeing lots of famous landmarks, like Queen Isabella’s Castle, a cathedral in Toledo and the Roman aqueduct.
Junior Margaret Gorz is very excited...
This trip happens every two years. In order to go, students must be in Spanish 3 or 4, meaning they can speak Spanish fluently enough to travel around Spain. The trip costs $3,000, but Ms. Gould, the Spanish teacher at Algoma, says the experience is worth the price.
With the three thousand dollars being spent, students will be able to enjoy numerous sights. The students will bring back memories of a lifetime that they will share with people each day. Most kids do not get this experience, and without Ms. Gould’s knowledge and preparation students would be missing out on a chance of a lifetime.
