Don’t be surprised if you see a low-flying plane in the skies over Door County.
Door County Cherryland Airport Manager Keith Kasbohm says a DC-3 is conducting reconnaissance and GPS data collection work in Door County to support the US Army of Corps of Engineers National Coastal Mapping Program.
Under this program, mapping data and the supporting GPS data will be collected along the coastal areas of Green Bay. The reconnaissance work should include locating existing control marks to be used for control surveys.
Kasbohm says the flyover will likely take place through Saturday.
