Whitefish Dunes Cancels Sand Sculpture Contest

Those who look forward to the sand sculpture contest at Whitefish Dunes State Park can cross it off this year's calendar.

Park Naturalist Carolyn Rock says the contest -- held on the beach at Whitefish Dunes -- has been canceled due to water levels and the availability of open sand.

Rock says park staff thank all those who've participated in the past.
