What are the chances an old Sturgeon Bay school bus ends up in Saudi Arabia?
Apparently pretty good, because one is there. And Mike McGraw got a picture of it.
McGraw works for Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil producer. He tells DoorCountyDailyNews.com that he was in Shaybah, one of the most remote areas of the country, doing an inspection of a contractor's warehouse when he spotted the bus with "Sturgeon Bay Public Schools" on the side.
"I left the warehouse and I couldn't believe it, but there was the bus right in front of me and I clicked the picture," says McGraw.
McGraw lives in Arlington Heights, Illinois and owns a home in Gills Rock. He says it's just another 'small world' story...
McGraw says the bus is used to transport workers to job sites.
Sturgeon Bay's Superintendent of Schools Joe Stutting says he believes the bus was one of several sold in 2005 or 2006 when the district purchased six new buses.
