A 22-year-old Kentucky man will likely face a host of charges after an argument in Sister Bay ended up with a gunshot being fired.
It happened Sunday shortly after 3 a.m.
Door County Sheriff Terry Vogel says according to witnesses, the 22-year-old got into an argument with another man and eventually pulled a gun on him and pointed it at his head. He's then accused of striking the man in the head with the gun and firing a shot toward the ground in the man's direction.
Vogel says the shot was fired near Husby's.
Mike Termini, who was tending bar at Husby's that night, says the 22-year-old was at Husby's earlier in the evening but had left between 11:30 p.m. and midnight. Termini says the shot was fired on property adjacent to Husby's.
The Kentucky man is being held on a $2,500 cash bond.
Possible charges include endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, 2nd degree endangering safety, shooting within 100 yards of a dwelling, battery, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, possession of a switchblade, OWI-2nd offense and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
The 22-year-old is scheduled to make his initial court appearance June 29 at 1:30 p.m. before Door County Judge Todd Ehlers.
