The challenge is official on Washington Island as masters of the grill will gather to prove that they are the best in the First Annual Death's Door Bar-B-Q according to Chairman Lisa Gibson.
Gibson says that even for those who will not be putting their grilling skills to the test there will be plenty of other activities for everyone to partake in.
The Death's Door Barbeque has been officially sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and Governor Scott Walker has signed a proclamation naming the event as an “Official State Barbeque Championship” and "wished all the contestants good luck and happy barbequing.”
