
The Algoma Wolves are headed to Madison once again. This time, it’s not the basketball team... but the softball lineup. It will be the first state appearance on the diamond for the Wolves since 2004.
Wolves Assistant Coach Abby Piesler was on the 2004 team that lost in the semifinal at state in nine innings vs. Brodhead. Piesler’s team also beat Horicon in the sectional finals, the team the Wolves beat to make it to state this year.

Mura says State is an accomplishment every athlete wants to experience, and with the Algoma team’s hard work they will be able to compete in Madison. She says because of the great coaching and will to succeed, Algoma will go into the state competition well prepared and confident.
