There's some local representation in Friday's Miss Wisconsin Outstanding Teen Competition in Oshkosh.
Door County's Lena MacDonald and Kewaunee's Paige Kassner -- a DoorCountyDailyNews.com student correspondent -- are two of 13 contestants competing for the title of the state's top teen.
Lena says she's excited for the competition and feels like she's well-prepared...

The Gibraltar High School student has company in Oshkosh. Zephyr Ciesar, a recent Gibraltar graduate, is competing in the Miss Wisconsin pageant. Lena calls Zephyr her "Door County sister" and says they've grown close.
"We've practiced interviews together, we've practiced fitness and dancing and talents -- and we both share the same talent so that can really benefit us because we can give each other the feedback," says MacDonald.
For her talent Lena will be singing "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus.

The Outstanding Teen contestants, ages 13 – 17, compete in Scholastic Achievement, Talent, Interview, Evening Wear, On-stage Question, and Lifestyle and Fitness.
The winner will go on to compete at the 2013 Miss America’s Outstanding Teen pageant held in Orlando in August as well as promote the program throughout Wisconsin.
