Southern Door Educational Plan Will Be Student-Focused

Students will be the focus of a new educational plan in the Southern Door School District.

The plan was formulated during a two-day educational summit June 5 and 6.

Members of the School Board as well as community members felt the students create a strong diversity in the community because Southern Door is very small and the students are a key factor to the success of the district.

Some of the topics discussed during the summit included curriculum, leadership, and response to change -- whether the district is proactive or reactive.

Those who participated in the summit will meet again next June to discuss the progress the district has made.
