Assembly Candidates Name Number One Problem Facing Government

Each of five candidates running to replace Sister Bay State Representative Garey Bies were asked by DoorCountyDailyNews.com what they consider to be the number one problem facing government today.

Four of the five candidates responded.  Their entire unedited comments answering a total of seven questions are available at DoorCountyDailyNews.com.

Responses varied from Republican Paul Feit saying the number one problem is the cost of healthcare to Democrat Joe Majeski citing the wise use of tax dollars to promote economic growth.

Republican Terry McNulty says the economy and getting people back to work is the most important issue. According to Republican Joel Kitchens, the most important issue is keeping taxes down while funding education, infrastructure and other programs citizens expect.

Republican Brian Hackbarth did not respond.

 The primary election is Tuesday.

The winner of the Republican primary will face Joe Majeski in November.
