Eight People Checked For Possible Injuries Following Egg Harbor Crash

Seven people were medically transported for treatment of possible injuries following a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in the town of Egg Harbor.

According to the accident report from the Door County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle operated by Denise Walsh of Menomonee Falls was stopped in the southbound lane of highway 42 signaling to make a left turn into Egg Harbor Fun Park around 1:30 Monday afternoon when her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle operated by Joshua Hallet of Casco. The Walsh vehicle flipped upside down after impact. Hallet told the responding officer he saw the vehicle stopped in the road and tried unsuccessfully to pass on the right.

Walsh and six passengers in her vehicle all sought medical attention for injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening. All were wearing seatbelts. The vehicle was totaled.

Hallet was ticketed for improper overtaking and failure to have control of his vehicle, which was severely damaged. He was also possibly injured but not medically transported.

This is the second multi-vehicle crash at the same spot in less than two weeks.
