Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Sand Bay Road in the Town of Nasewaupee.
According to the accident report from the Door County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle operated by Jedediah Hilsabeck of Sturgeon Bay was eastbound on Sand Bay Road around 12:25 Sunday afternoon, when a vehicle operated by Charles Schommer made a left turn across the eastbound lane to enter a driveway. The Hilsabeck vehicle struck the Schommer vehicle in passenger front side. Airbags deployed in both vehicles.
Two passengers in the Hilsabeck vehicle and one passenger in the Schommer vehicle were medically transported.
Schommer was ticketed for failure to yield, not wearing a seatbelt and a passenger not wearing a seatbelt. Hilsabeck was ticketed for a passenger not wearing a seatbelt.
Both vehicles were severely damaged.
