The 33-year-old Green Bay man caught manufacturing meth in a Sturgeon Bay motel has been placed on probation for four years.
Benjamin LaLonde pled no contest to felony charges of manufacturing amphetamine and possession of paraphernalia to manufacture methamphetamine. A felony methamphetamine possession charge and a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia charge were both dismissed.
Housekeepers at the Best Western in Sturgeon Bay alerted police to the paraphernalia and chemicals in LaLonde’s room in early February.
Judge D. Todd Ehlers also ordered LaLonde to serve 40 days in jail and pay fines, fees and restitution totaling $6,200.
