About 300 people braved the elements and hit the water for the coldest Jacksonport Polar Bear Club plunge ever yesterday.
The air temperature was about 2 degrees at noon as people walked into Lake Michigan for the 28th annual event.
Organizer Jon Jarosh explains why he takes the plunge.
Because of the cold, swimmers were advised to get dressed as soon as they got out of the water.
