Virgil Skarvan, age 89 of Kewaunee died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Linden Manor in Kewaunee.  He was born on April 2, 1928 to the late Wenzel and Theresa (Wettering ) Skarvan. Gerald Milton Hunt, 71, of Brussels, passed away on Feb. 28, 2018 at Anna’s Health Care in Sturgeon Bay.  He was born Dec. 29, 1946 in Sturgeon Bay to Robert and Lois (Petersilka) Hunt. Rufus R. Sibilsky, 98, Algoma, passed away Tues. Feb. 27, 2018 at Bellin Hospital.  He was born Feb. 5, 1920 in the Township of Ahnapee to Herman and Matilda (Dreher) Sibilsky.

Rufus graduated St. Paul's Grade School.  As a young man he helped his father who owned a cheese factory for many years. He entered the US Army Jan 13, 1942 and served until Aug. 24, 1943.  After his honorable discharge he came back to Algoma, where he worked at the US Plywood / Algoma Hardwoods for 47 years.
