One iPad will be awarded to the best message written by a grade school student and a second iPad will be awarded to the best message submitted by a high school student. Students attending schools in Door and Kewaunee County as well as home-schooled students are eligible. Messages must be no longer than 60 words. Students will be required to submit their message in written form to the radio stations and record their message for broadcast. Parental authorization to use the messages on the radio stations of DoorCountyDailyNews.com must be signed in order for any students under the age of 18 to be recorded. The announcements will be the property of the radio stations and will be run until a second Stop the Bullying campaign is started. All announcements must identify the full name, grade and school of the student and conclude with: "Stop the Bullying ... a campaign supported by Dr. Jennifer Olson and the radio stations of DoorCountyDailyNews.com." The entry deadline is June 1, 2013. Students can record by simply visiting our studios during regular business hours or by having station staff record in their schools. The contest will end with winners announced on the WBDK and WSBW shopping show on Saturday, June 22, 2013. All the details are available from the office of Dr. Jen Olson in Sturgeon Bay or at doorcountydailynews.com.       Pad the Payroll Rules Starting March 18, 2013 WRLU will read the name of listeners who have registered at participatingsponsors. If the listener whose name is read on the air calls WRLU within ten minutes and 41 secondsthat person will go on the payroll and earn the minimum wage. At various times throughout the dayother names will be read on the air. The person who is currently on the payroll will be bumped whenanother listener goes on the payroll by calling within the allotted time. Winners will be issued an IRS1099 form to report their winnings as required by law. The contest will be open for winning a total of 40 hours per week for each week played. This contest is not open to employees of other radio stations, to participating sponsors and theirimmediate families and employees of Nicolet Broadcasting, Inc. This contest may be cancelled at anytime. Participants must either be current subscribers to the DoorCountyDailyNews.com electronic newspaperor sign up to subscribe by submitting their email address on the contest registration form. Only one member of an immediate family is eligible to win within any 30 day period. These rules may be modified at any time during the Pad the Payroll promotion. Those on the payroll will be paid $7.25 per hour for each hour they are on the payroll. Portions of hourswill be rounded up or down to the nearest hour. Contestants agree to allow their name to be used for promotional purposes. Anyone submitting more than one entry per day per sponsor will be automatically disqualified from winning Pad the Payroll.
