Rogue Theater presents “A Bad Year for Tomatoes”
7:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Rogue Theater brings back its smash hit “A Bad Year for Tomatoes” written by John Patrick and directed by Stuart Champeau.  A can’t miss comedy.

The famous TV actress Myra Marlowe leaves her acting career in Hollywood and leases a tiny New England cottage for a year to write her autobiography and escape the craziness of show biz.  She successfully rejects her long time agent’s offers for a new television series, but dealing with her nosy omnipresent neighbors is a different matter.  In an attempt to shoo them away she invents a mad homicidal sister who she says is locked away in her bedroom.  The mad sister (Myra in disguise) pulls off the ruse until a backwoods lumber jack/skunk trapper falls for her.  A couple of officious ladies decide it is their Christian duty to save the poor demented “Sister Sadie” and a local spiritualist decides witchcraft is the only way to fix her.  Needless to say, all is straightened out in the end, but the uproarious doings will keep the audience laughing right up to the final curtain.

“A Bad Year for Tomatoes” cast includes Lola DeVillers, Stuart Champeau, Chris Milton, Donna Johnson, Jamie Buesing, Chris Weidenbacher, and David Clowers, is playing at The Depot Performing Arts Center, 341 N. 3rd Ave. in Sturgeon Bay.  Shows are September 11-13 and 18-29 at 7:30, with Sunday, Sept. 14 at 1:00 and Sunday, Sept. 21 at 4:00 (Packer friendly times).  Tickets are $15 and may be purchased in advance at Greco Gallery/Avenson Photography, or by calling The Depot PAC at 920-818-0816.
