Please join the Women's Fund of Door County for an evening of "Tales of Our Lives - A Story Slam: Empowerment Through Performance.” A story slam is more than just storytelling. These are not stories for children, but rather a glimpse into the storytellers' lives that describes how they’ve been transformed into the people they have become. The stories range from funny to sad, from heartwarming to heart wrenching, but they are all authentic gifts from the storyteller as they share a piece of themselves with us. Tales of Our Lives is empowerment through performance and promises to be a night to remember!

Enjoy a night of storytelling by Melissa Andrews, Laura Beck Nielsen, Anni Lampert, Sara Oswald, Melissa Ripp Lozoff, Melanie Samonds, James Valcq, and Sue Warren.  The evening will also feature musical interludes by Dorothy Scott and Jess Holland.  Tales of Our Lives is on Thursday, March 5th at the Door County Fire Company in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Social hour starts at 6:30 p.m. and the stories will be told from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Complimentary baked goods from local bakeries and Door County Coffee will be served; a cash bar will be available.

To purchase your ticket, you can call the Door County Community Foundation at (920) 746-1786 or you may download an online reservation form by visiting www.WomensFundDoorCounty.org.  Advance tickets are $15. Tickets at the door will be $20 - as space is available.  Both men and women are encouraged to attend. As last year’s event was sold out, we recommend advance ticket purchases.
