The Children’s Museum of Green Bay, in conjunction with United Healthcare Healthy Living Program, will celebrate the first annual Worldwide Day of Play! World Wide Day of Play is a national event created by Nickelodeon. On this day Nickelodeon turns off and goes dark so that children across the country can get up, get out and go play!
The day will begin with a ¼ mile walk from the Children’s Museum along the City Deck to Admiral Flatly Park. Along the way families will enjoy bubbles, water, a snack and exercise stops. Back at the museum we will have a Hula Hoop Contest, Obstacle Course, Photo Booth, Tattoo Station, Music and more!
The $12 per child admission fee includes: T-Shirt, bubbles and activities on the walk, admission to the museum and 1 adult admission. Additional adult admission bracelets are $6.
This fun-filled family event is all about turning off the TV and going out and getting moving. At the children’s museum we know that play is a child’s work and it’s through play that children engage and interact with the world around them.
“With our focus on Healthy Living it is wonderful to partner with the museum on this family focus, healthy living event” United Healthcare.
There are still sponsorship and volunteer opportunities available for this first time event.
If you are interested please call 432-4397 and ask for Gina Anderson.
