Peninsula State Park Announces April Programs

The following programs are free and open to the public but a state park sticker is required. If you need additional information call Peninsula’s Nature Center at920-854-5976.

 

Saturday April 13Nature Centeropen 10 AM – 3 PM.Chipmunk Stick PuppetsStop by anytime from 10 AM – 12 Noon. 15 minutes. Chipmunks are scampering about. Why not craft one to keep, using recycled materials? Kids can stop by any time to learn about this frisky critter.Sounds of SpringStop by the Nature Center any from Noon to 3 PM to listen to calls of timberdoodles, wood frogs, and other spring singers. See mounts and photos of these and other park animals. 15 - 30 minutes.

Saturday April 20Nature Centeropen 10 AM – 3 PM.Mapping Peninsula State Park1 – 1:30 PM. Nature Center. Whether you’ve been to the mark many times, or enjoying your first visit, you’re sure to learn something new at this informal talk highlighting park history.

Wednesday April 24Basic Archery Instructor TrainingGreen Bay. $75 fee for all-day workshop. Contactdaniel.schroeder@wisconsin.gov.

Saturday April 27The park naturalist will host a booth at theSustainability Fairat Graham and Martin parks in Sturgeon Bay. Keynote Address by Paul Tukey, founder of SafeLawns and winter of the prestigious Horticultural Communicator of the Year Award.
