By Brett Kinnard The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Chicago Cubs yesterday 7-2 in extra innings. Junior Guerra started on the bump for Milwaukee and went toe to toe with Jose Quintana until the sixth inning. At that point in the game, the score was settled at 2-1.
A Jason Heyward RBI single tied the game at two in the eighth inning. After a couple scoreless innings to get us to the eleventh, Anthony Rizzo busted things open with a homer in the top half of the inning. The Cubs would pour on five runs that inning to put the game out of reach.
The Brewers will now continue the series against the Cubs in a battle for first place. Chase Anderson will be on the bump tonight. First pitch being thrown out at 7:10.
