Snow was still on the ground the last time the Gibraltar Vikings and Kewaunee Storm met, but this time it is win or go home as the two look to advance in the WIAA baseball tournament. In the first match-up of the season, the see-saw affair ended in the bottom of the seventh when walks doomed the Vikings and a free pass gave the Storm the 4-3 victory. The Storm would go on to win the second game 10-3. Trevor Reinhardt’s pitching and a long nine-run inning gave the Vikings the win last Thursday over the Algoma Wolves 10-0, while the Storm got a chance to rest up. The winner of Tuesday’s matchup will go on to face the winner of Roncalli and Mishicot.
Tim Kowols and Eric Fischer will have the call from Kewaunee beginning at 4:00 p.m. with the pregame show and the first pitch at 4:30. Other local baseball action includes Luxemburg-Casco heading to Valders and Sturgeon Bay traveling to Denmark.
