The Sturgeon Bay boys and Algoma girls ended their conference track seasons on a high note as they captured Packerland titles Monday night.
On the boys’ side, the Clippers boasted four individual event titles including Hayden Shefchik capturing gold in the high jump and as a member of the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 relay teams. The 2018 conference title marks the sixth in program history and the third in three years.
Kewaunee’s Spencer Kirsteatter swept the distance events while Southern Door collected titles in the 200 meter dash by Jared Conard and the 4 x 800 relay. Kiegan Sargent won top long jump honors for Sevastopol.
On the girls’ side, Algoma once again dominated the field events en route to the conference title, winning four of the six events. In addition to winning the shot put and discus events, the Wolves’ Katelyn Williams added to her own personal medal count by capturing the 4 x100 relay and 100 meter dash crowns. Second place Kewaunee boasted five individual titles, including the triple jump and high jump events.
