In Packerland Conference baseball Friday afternoon, Kewaunee scored early and often as the Storm beat the Wolves 14-4 in 5 innings. In a back and forth game through the first three innings, the Storm poured in 6 runs in the 4th, and 4 runs in the 5th. Wyatt Kruse led the way for Kewaunee going 4-4 with 5 RBI, with teammates McCoy Walechka and Daniel Stangel each going 3-4 as well. Daniel Stangel earned the win on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings, allowing 4 hits, 4 runs, and 7 strikeouts. For Algoma, Trevor Nell had 2 of the Wolves 4 hits, in a 2-3 performance. Kewaunee goes to 2-3 in the Packerland Conference and travels to Sevastopol for a doubleheader on Saturday. Algoma also stands at 2-3 in conference play and hosts Sturgeon Bay on Saturday.
