Sturgeon Bay cruised to two Packerland Conference victories and Gibraltar scored one of their own during Thursday’s slate of games.
In Sturgeon Bay, the Clippers slugged past Sevastopol 7-1 and 18-4 in their two games. In the first game, Anthony Moore tallied two RBI while Jaeger Brusky, Ryan Jacobson, Trent Ehlers, and Mitch Jackson each collected one of their own. Jake Schneider did not need much help as he only gave up a run on five hits with eight strike outs. In the second game, Brusky and Moore went deep to lead the way in the blow out.
In Fish Creek, Trevor Reinhardt returned to the mound to throw six innings and register eight strikeouts in Gibraltar’s 9-5 win over Southern Door. Brandon Stillman got an RBI on two hits while Ben Johnson and Nathan Ewaskowitz each drove in a pair.
In Peshtigo, hits by Zach Schmidt and Casey Nelson provided some of the lone highlights for the Algoma Wolves as they fell to the Bulldogs 14-0 in five innings.
