Orbie R. Kroening, 80, Town of Brussels, passed away Sat. April 28, 2018 at Bay Road Place in Algoma. Orbie was born Feb. 5, 1938 in the Town of Brussels to Ewald and Odile (Malcore) Kroening.
Orbie graduated from the Brussels High School and helped on the home farm as a young man. He later was employed at the Algoma Hardwoods where he worked for 40 years.
He married Sally Willette on Dec. 29, 1990. they lived on the home farm where Orbie raised many different animals until he couldn’t do it anymore due to his health issues.
Orbie is survived by his three children Diana (Rick) Pallex, Algoma; Barb (Jon) Paplham, New Franken; and Ricky (Debra) Kroening, Forestville; six stepchildren; 11 grandchildren Tanya (Damian) Bott, Elliot Pallex (special friend Tricia Glinski), Adam Przybylski, Logan Ann Litersky, Christopher Przybylski (special friend Stephanie Puentter), Gabrielle Paplham and Matthew, Jennifer, Zack, Gunner and Hailey Kroening; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sally, two brothers and two sisters.
Family and friends may gather at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Kolberg, Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mark Falck officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
