Hernan Perez, Ryan Braun, and Travis Shaw all went deep, but it was not enough as the Milwaukee Brewers fell to the New York Mets Friday night 6-5 in Flushing Meadows. The Mets got off to a 2-0 lead before Perez’s shot knotted the game up at two. Todd Frazier’s second home run of the game broke the tie and was followed by a Jay Bruce RBI double and Adrian Gonzalez RBI sac fly. A wild pitch by Dan Jennings ultimately put the game out of reach for the Brewers when the Mets scored on the mistake. Braun’s two run homer in the sixth and Shaw’s solo shot in the eighth would narrow the gap, but Mets closer Jeurys Familia sat down three straight Brewers to end the game. The Brewers and Mets go at it again at 6:10 p.m.
