Thursday was Minor League Baseball Opening Day, and Saturday was the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers home opener, as the Milwaukee Brewers Single-A affiliate hosted the Beloit Snappers and lost 10-1. Unlike the big league team, the Timber Rattlers had to battle the elements with a first-pitch temperature of 28 degrees. Wisconsin’s bats were just as cold as the team only mustered 4 hits and one run on a Demi Orimoloye RBI single in the 2nd inning. This year’s roster currently features two of the Milwaukee Brewers Top 30 prospects, outfielder Tristen Lutz (9th) and catcher KJ Harrison (21st). The Timber Rattlers are back in action Sunday at 1:10 at Fox Cities Stadium.
