Governor Scott Walker made stops in both Kewaunee and Sturgeon Bay on Saturday to share the positive accomplishments from around the state. Kewaunee and Door County Republicans each invited the Governor to attend and speak at their respective Lincoln Day fundraiser dinners to reach out to voters in the area. Walker also made several stops across the state Saturday, visiting conservatives in Fond Du Lac and Eau Claire to talk about the GOP’s accomplishments before heading to Kewaunee. Before arriving at the Door County Lincoln Day Dinner, Governor Walker stopped by the DoorCountyDailyNews.com studio and says that he loves traveling around the state and seeing Wisconsin pride.
The two biggest accomplishments Walker discussed yesterday in Instagram videos were the UW system tuition freeze and the Wisconsin record low unemployment rate of 2.9%. Governor Walker will seek re-election for a third term this November.
Is the governor actually thrilled about seeing Wisconsin pride, or simply thrilled that he has taken dictatorial power and derives pleasure from crushing anything and everything that his “divide and conquer,” policy programs have wrought? He and his legislative majority have adhered to a policy agenda that has aimed straight at the heart of the former sources of our state and community pride for almost eight straight years?
Who among you in this district has seen any of Walker’s bragged about $8B in tax savings? We’ve just voted to tax ourselves on top of our already high property taxes once more through numerous school referendums around the state and locally through approval of a PRAT because the taxes we’ve already paid to the state are being spent on huge corporate manufacturing and agricultural tax credits to GOP campaign donors instead of Walker and his state GOP majority returning that money to communities for roads and secular public schools, affording necessary economic infrastructure and equal higher education opportunity for every Wisconsin child.
