About 50 mailboxes were damaged Tuesday night in Kewaunee County. According to the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department, a call complaint came in shortly after 8 p.m. from the town of Montpelier. Subsequently, more calls were reported during the evening throughout the town of Franklin and West Kewaunee as well. Sheriff Matt Joski says the investigation is still ongoing but he is confident that they will find the perpetrator.
Joski says one vehicle’s windshield was also reportedly damaged. Anyone with information or experienced property damage should contact the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department.

(Kewaunee, WI) On February 6, 2018 at 8:27 pm, the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a resident in the Town of Montpelier that there had been damage done to their mailbox. Shortly after this initial call, the Sheriff’s Department received another call regarding a mailbox which had been damaged.
Deputies responded to the area and while investigating the two complaints, it was discovered that numerous mailboxes throughout the townships of Montpelier, Franklin and West Kewaunee had also been damaged. Along with the damaged mailboxes, there was damage done to the windshield of a truck.
As of the time of this release, there have been approximately 50 mailboxes identified as damaged. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department at (920)388-7108
