Southern Door now leads the Packerland Conference by two games after beating Peshtigo 41-31 on the road Monday night. The Eagles benefited from Gibraltar topping Kewaunee and an important win away from home.
Meghan La Crosse led the Eagles with 12 points. Grace LeGrave and Tehya Bertrand each added seven points in the win. The Eagles defense played exceptionally well allowing only five Peshtigo players to score in the game. Not a single opposing player scored double digits.
Algoma edged NEW Lutheran 56-37 behind 18 points from Makayla Guilette and 10 points from Hanna Wiese. The Wolves are now just one game back of Kewaunee in the conference standings.
