What may have been the Packerland Conference championship game in the Town of Gardner last night the Southern Door Eagles and Kewaunee Storm were tied 24-24 at half time. A six point victory 54-48 was earned by the Eagles with a strong second half performance to take sole possession of first place in the Packerland Conference standings at (10-1). Kewaunee (9-2) got a huge performance from Sara Dax. She scored a game high 24 points, half of the team’s scoring output. Southern Door’s depth was crucial in the win. Gabby Atkins played a very complete game leading her team with 14 points. Grace LeGrave poured in 12 points in a winning effort.
Gibraltar hosted Chilton and played extremely well in a 56-39 victory. The Vikings took a 31-17 lead at the half and coasted to victory. Payton Pluff was the game’s high scorer with 22 points. Abbi Sitte added 13 points and Raina Haleen scored 10 points in the win.
Sevastopol fell to NEW Lutheran 61-40. Allison Daubner led the Pioneers with ten points, Lexie LeClair scored nine points and Jillie Jorns chipped in eight points in the loss.
