The front-runners in the Packerland Conference added a little distance between themselves and the rest of the pack Tuesday night when Southern Door and Kewaunee pushed their lead over Algoma in the standings to three games.
Kewaunee had a giant win against rival Algoma last night Algoma 43-32. The defensive battle featured a game high 15 points from Mackenzie Tlachac to lead the Storm. Sara Dax added 15 points in the win. Kewaunee’s defense did not allow a single Algoma player to eclipse a double digit point tally. The Storm moved to (9-1) while Algoma slipped back to (6-4).
Southern Door beat Oconto tonight 67-32 with underclassmen Kendra Dantoin leading the surge. Dantoin’s 18 points helped offset a slow night for 1,000 point scorer Meghan LaCrosse. The Blue Devils now (6-5) doubled down on the accomplished post player and held her to just three points. Grace LeGrave scored 12 points and Nicole Norton chipped in 11 in a game where Southern Door (9-1) leaned heavily on their supporting cast.
Sevastopol (0-10) fell to Peshtigo (6-4) 58-37 Tuesday. Grace Brauer led the Pioneers with 10 points and Amber Roalkvan scored seven in the loss.
Sturgeon Bay (1-10) lost to N.E.W. Lutheran (3-7) 67-45. Breanna Zuehlke led the Clippers with 14 points and Andie Rockendorf added 10 in the loss.
