John J. Becker Sr., age 61 of Kewaunee died on January 3, 2018 at Aurora Baycare Medical Center. He was born on November 20, 1956 to the former Patricia Holschbach and the late John A.J. Becker.
He graduated from Mishicot High School in 1975. He then owned and worked for Becker Ornamental Iron in Manitowoc all of his life. He loved the outdoors, especially gardening, hunting in his backyard, fishing, going up north and going on hunting trips.
He married Verlayne Pilgrim November 4, 1995 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Carlton.
Survivors include his wife: Verlayne; his mother; Patricia Becker, Mishicot; two daughters and one son-in-law: Tina Becker and special friend, Kevin Koehler, Two Rivers; Tammie and Andy Vanlerberghe, Green Bay; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Shawn Pilgrim, Kewaunee; John Jr. and Gabrielle Becker, Two Rivers; six grandchildren: Alissa; Caitlyn; Scooter; John III; Evalynne; Lyla; one great grandchild: Bentley; three sisters: Theresa Becker, Mishicot; JoAnn Becker, Mishicot; Mary (Marty) Scheuer; Kewaunee: three brothers: Clarence (Joan) Becker; Manitowoc; Kevin Becker, Mishicot; Bobby (Jolene) Becker, Mishicot.
He was preceded in death by his father John A.J. Becker and his sister Priscilla Becker and his mother-n-law and father-n-law Marcella and Gerhardt Pilgrim.
Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 5 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee until the time of services. A funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Dcn. Dave Scheuer officiating.
