The Green Bay Packers have re-signed center Center Corey Linsley to a 3-year exenstion worth $25.5 million which puts him in the top nine highest paid centers in the league. This comes just one day after the Packers handed out an enormous 4-year $58 million deal to star wide reciever Davante Adams.
Linsley was selected in the fifth round (161st overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. Linsley graded out as the #22 center in NFL according to Pro Football Focus but many belive he is a Pro-Bowl caliber player at his position.
This signing ensures the Packers at least two more years of having three of their five starting offensive lineman after recent extensions of All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari and guard Lane Taylor. The focus for the Packers will now shift towards Aaron Rodgers as he has two years left on his current contract.
