One home looks to be destroyed and another one suffered smoke damage Thursday in two separate fires in Door County. The Brussels Union Gardner Fire Department responded shortly after 10 o’clock in the morning to 729 County Road DK just southwest of Brussels. BUG Assistant Fire Chief Jim Wautier details the scene when firefighters arrived.
Wautier says there was no structural damage to the house and firefighters were on the scene for about one hour. Multiple fire departments battled another house fire for several hours Thursday afternoon at 4849 Bayshore Drive north of Sturgeon Bay. Firefighters were still on the scene as of 4:30 p.m Thursday as the home looks potentially to be a total loss, according to Sturgeon Bay Assistant Fire Chief Kalin Montevideo. No injuries were reported at either fire incident.
