The holidays offer a short reprieve from the school day, but not from the mats as local teams headed to tournaments over winter break.
Luxemburg-Casco headed to Illinois over the weekend for the Al Dvorak Invitational, placing 5th out of 35 teams. One of the top tournaments in the region, Bryce Bosman and Reece Worachek led the way for the Spartans with fourth-place finishes, while Austin LeRoy wasted no time on his way to a 7th place finish, earning the pinners award for the most amount of pins in the least amount of time. Another large and competitive tournament is on tap for this weekend for the Spartans when they travel to LaCrosse for the Bi-State Classic.
Southern Door and Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol hit the mat this Friday for their own big tournament as they head to Oshkosh for the Lourdes Academy’s On the Water Tournament.
