Southern Door beat rival Sturgeon Bay 66-26 Thursday night in Packerland Conference girls basketball. The Eagles soared to a 41-18 half time lead and allowed only eight points in the second half. Meghan LaCrosse led all scorers with 16 points. Tehya Bertrand added 13, Grace LeGrave poured in 12 points and Kendra Dantoin chipped in 11 points in the win. The Clippers were led by Hailey DeGrave’s 11 points.
Kewaunee snuck past Oconto in the game of the night in the Packerland Conference 49-48. Sara Dax scored more than any player in the conference this season with an incredible 33 points for the Storm. Mackenzie Tlachac added 12 points in the win. Oconto was led by Mara Allen’s 15 points and Sydney Koch’s 16 points.
Algoma held Sevastopol to an unbelievable 10 points in their defensive battle. A 58-10 victory was the most curious score of the night. Zoe Kuehn was the Pioneers top scorer with four points. Algoma’s press was unbeatable Thursday night.
