The Packerland Conference leading Southern Door put up an impressive 87 points Tuesday night. They downed Sevastopol 87-45 with four players reaching double figures. Kyle Daoust tallied 26 points, Ryan Claflin added 20 points, Sam Gerend chipped in 16 points and Derik LeCaptain scored 12 points in the win. Sevastopol’s leading scorer was Nelson Demmin with eight points.
Sturgeon Bay played sound basketball in a 51-42 win at home against Peshtigo. The Clippers were led by Mitchell Jackson’s 14 points. Jackson was the only player for Sturgeon Bay to reach double digits. Carson Talbert scored eight and Jared Van Bramer notched nine points in the victory. Peshtigo was led by Mitchell Van Vooren’s 14 points.
Gibraltar got N.E.W. Lutheran’s best performance of the year to date. The Blazers topped the Vikings 72-44. Ryan Murphy led Gibraltar with 13 points and Evan Henry added ten in the loss. Sam Meerstein posted 30 points in the win.
Oconto downed Algoma 61-38 behind the shooting of Conner Ebben and Carson Moe. The duo accounted for 45 of the team’s 61 points. Ebben tallied 24 points and Moe scored 21 for the Blue Devils. Zach Schmidt led Algoma with 13 points and Aiden Wallace added 11 points in the loss.
