Sturgeon Bay won their first game of the season Thursday night 47-34 against Sevastopol. The Clippers balanced scoring attack was led by Sarah Bridenhagen with 14 points. Andi Rockendorf added 11 points and Brenna Zuelke patrolled the paint tallying nine points in the win. Amber Roalkvan led the Pioneers with 13 points and Lexie LeClair chipped in nine in the loss.
Algoma lost a four point halftime lead and fell 55-52 to Peshtigo last night. The newest team in the Packerland Conference is proving it will be a tough opponent this season. MaKayla Guilette scored 14 points and Jordan Jossie poured in 11 points in the loss. The Wolves saw eight players score in the game but still came up just short at the end. Peshtigo had three players finish in double digits including Hannah Swanson (15), Alexyss Debriyn (14) and Emma Frederickson (10).
