The Badgers had an 80% chance of winning according to ESPN, but the first few minutes of the game against the Hoosiers showed perhaps a different story. Hornibrook threw his first interception in the end zone this season, ultimately leading to a touchdown by Indiana. Into the second quarter, the Hoosiers then scored a quick field goal. Wisconsin got back into the game with an 18 yard touchdown pass to Ingold. In the middle of the second quarter, Wisconsin gained momentum with a fumble recovery and call against the Hoosiers sideline, putting them inside the red zone. Hornibrook threw easily to Cephus for a touchdown, putting the Badgers in the lead, 14-10, at the half.
Opening the second half, the Badger’s drive comes up short of a touchdown, putting three more points on the board. Still in the third, Taylor rushes 22 yards to put Wisconsin up 24-10. Indiana answered with a successful drive downfield to their own touchdown. Early in the fourth quarter, the Badgers force an interception with Ferguson coming up with the ball, setting up for yet another touchdown. Another Indiana interception leads to a short effort into the end zone, putting Wisconsin in a commanding lead, 38-17. In the final minutes, the Badgers take over on fourth down, leading to another touchdown and the final score of 45-17.
