Donald A. Blahnik, 72, Algoma, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Kewaunee. He was born Aug. 19, 1945 in Algoma to Jacob and Henrietta (Krueger) Blahnik.
Donald attended the Algoma High School. He started his working career at Badger Northland in Algoma where he worked for a number of years. Then he was employed at Bayship Builders for a few years then ended up retiring from Kewaunee Fabrication in 2003. While working all these jobs he was still running a beef cattle farm.
Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and Trap Shooting at the Black Ash Gun Club which he was a life time member of.
Donald is survived by his three brothers Bob Blahnik, Algoma; Maynard (Mary Jo) Blahnik, Kewaunee and Larry Blahnik, Algoma; three sisters-in-law Joanne Blahnik, Luxemburg; Beverly Blahnik, Algoma; and Sue Blahnik, Forestville; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers Howard, Leo, Pete, Jim and Vince and two sisters Gertrude Blahnik and Myrtle Mattice.
Donald wishes were to have no service but will be buried in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
