The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans destroyed the Oconto Falls Panthers 69-0 in the final Northeastern Conference game Friday night.
The Spartans scored early and often as they took a commanding 20-0 lead in the first quarter. L-C extended the lead to 48-0 at halftime and never looked back.
With starting running back Dakota Robinson sitting out the game with an injury, Colton Woracheck scored on two touchdown runs in the second half to lead a balanced rushing attack for the Spartans who accumulated over 300 yards in rushing. Both Worachek and Austin Tlachac gained over 100 yards rushing for the Spartans.
L-C’s defense shut out the Panthers as linebacker Ty Vandenhouten scored a touchdown on a fumble recovery in the end zone to close out the scoring in the fourth quarter.
The Spartans (6-2, 6-3 overall) finish in second place in the NEC as Wrightstown beat Little Chute 6-0 to clinch the conference championship.
Luxemburg-Casco will now wait to see who and where they play next week as they find out the seeding on Saturday in the WIAA playoff format.
