Luxemburg-Casco Spartan football celebrated a big 44-14 homecoming win Friday night over the Clintonville Truckers in a North Eastern Conference clash. The Spartans (5-1, 5-2 overall) used explosive plays on offense and special teams to crush Clintonville (0-7).
Quarterback Garrit Aissen hit Anthony Otradovec for a 73-yard pass completion with 9:18 left in the first quarter to get the scoring underway. Aissen then connected with Ian Doell for a 30-yard strike and Dakota Robinson run for a 10-yard TD as Luxemburg-Casco jumped to a 19-0 lead. The Spartans scored three more touchdowns in the second quarter to take a commanding 38-0 lead into halftime and cruised to the easy victory.
Robinson finished with 130 yards and two touchdowns including a 77-yard TD run in the second half. Otradovec also had two touchdowns including a 72-yard punt return touchdown. Aissen finished with impressive passing statistics for the night going 8-13 for 232 yards and three touchdowns.
L-C will travel to Wrightstown (5-1) next Friday in a game that will go a long way in determining the conference champion.
