The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Chicago Cubs 5-3 in ten innings on Thursday. Zach Davies started on the bump for Milwaukee and went seven innings only giving up two runs on three strikeouts. Oliver Drake eventually took the loss when he allowed two runs in the tenth inning.
Domingo Santana stayed hot at the plate as he smacked another solo shot in this one. RBI singles from Eric Sogard and Eric Thames accounted for the rest of the runs in the game. Milwaukee now sits four and a half games back in the division and one game back in the wildcard.
The Brewers will now take on the Chicago Cubs Friday at Miller Park. First pitch being thrown out at 6:30.
