The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 Sunday afternoon. Jimmy Nelson started on the bump for Milwaukee. He pitched nearly seven innings of two run ball against the best team in the NL, including a no-hitter into the sixth.
Milwaukee got off to a good start in the first couple innings. Travis Shaw drove in an RBI in the first to make it 1-0. Then Hernan Perez hit a solo shot in the bottom of the 3rd and the Brewers never looked back on this one. The Dodgers have not lost a series since June 5-7.
Milwaukee will now travel back home to start up a series against the Cardinals. The Brewers are now just two games back of the Cubs in the division.
