The Green Bay Packers finish the road part of the preseason schedule with a trip to Colorado to play the Denver Broncos Saturday night. It will be Green Bay’s first preseason trip to Denver since 2008, when it won, 27-24. Prior to that, the teams had not played in the preseason since squaring off in four straight preseasons (1998-2001).
This will be the 10th preseason meeting between the Packers and Broncos, with Denver winning six of the previous nine matchups. The regular-season series between the two is even at 6-6-1.
In six of the past seven seasons, Green Bay has had a preseason matchup against an AFC West opponent. Since 2000, there have been 12 seasons in which the Packers have played a team from the AFC West in the preseason.
Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. CDT at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Saturday, Aug. 26.
