Eric Sogard’s swipe of home plate on a Tim Adelman wild pitch led the Milwaukee Brewers past the Cincinnati Reds 6-5 in 10 innings. A night after the Reds took game one 11-10, the scoring picked up right where it left off when Adam Duvall and Travis Shaw traded homers in the first frame, giving the Brewers a 3-2 lead. After the Reds retook the lead with a pair of homers in consecutive innings, Ryan Braun (5th inning) and Eric Thames (6th inning) brought the Brewers back to even with their own long balls. Sogard capped things off in the 10th with his walk-off score with Ryan Braun standing in the batter’s box. Corey Knebel received the win after giving up no runs in the top of the 10th. The Brewers and the Reds wrap things up this afternoon at Miller Park beginning at 1:10.
