The Milwaukee Brewers lost for the sixth consecutive game with an 11-10 slugfest defeat to the Cincinnati Reds. This time the culprit was starting pitching for the Brewers as Jimmy Nelson could not get out of the fourth inning and gave up 10 runs. The Brewers fought back valiantly with a seven run sixth inning that got them within one run, but the Reds hung on for the win. The Brewers now are tied for third place in the National League Central with the Pittsburg Pirates, three games behind the Chicago Cubs. The Brewers (53-53) will look to snap the losing streak tonight at Miller Park with game two of the series starting at 6:10 p.m.
